now you've made me curious as to the benefits or drawbacks when you compare the use of sliced images with a single image-mapped image. Do you have any thoughts? (I still haven't figured slicing out anyway - haven't had the need)

Well, for one reason sliced images are harder to steal from the web!! But not impossible...

As far as any real benefits are concerned, I am not quite sure what other tools are available to make for example image-mapped pictures. Actually, there is such a tool in Macromedia Homesite, but I have never used it. In response to the questions, I gave it a go and boy it is ten times easier than all that slicing and dicing using Photoshop. One advantage besides being harder to steal is the fact that within Photoshop you can also define mouseover effects more easily, like blurring, zooming or another picture.

All sounds very confusing to me. But, hey, the end result? A great photo, oh, and a great looking bunch of kids. You must be proud... on all counts! ;-)
